One of our most exciting recent projects was the delivery of an Enval Recycling Module for
Greenback, a breakthrough in sustainable recycling technology.

Engineering Expertise from Concept to Completion

For this project, Bronx was responsible for the engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.

The Greenback Enval Module is a modular recycling system built around patented microwave-induced pyrolysis technology. It is specifically designed to recycle flexible plastic packaging, including materials containing aluminium foil.

The system separates out valuable outputs — such as aluminium and pyrolysis oils — for reuse in manufacturing, generating minimal emissions by utilising the process gas to produce electricity.

Recycling Deployment in the UK

The most recent Enval Module assembled at Bronx’s Slovakia facilities is now being deployed and commissioned in Derbyshire, UK.

Unlike traditional recycling methods, which cannot effectively process multi-layer flexible packaging and often send it to landfill, the Enval Module provides a breakthrough solution. It enables localised, low-emission recycling of this complex waste stream, closing the loop by recovering aluminium and producing pyrolysis oils that can be reused as feedstock for new plastics. This not only reduces the need for virgin raw materials but also cuts emissions by minimising the transport of bulky plastic waste.
