How It Works: Technical Overview

At the heart of our pattern coating system is the precision-controlled rotogravure process, which includes:

• Engraving and Ink Transfer: A chrome-plated steel roll is engraved with the desired pattern. Ink fills the engravings, and a doctor blade removes excess ink from the surface.
• Ink Application: The ink is transferred to a polyurethane applicator roll, which prints it onto the pre-coated coil surface with precise pressure.
• Layer Thickness Control:
  • Primer: 5 µm (if required)
  • Base coat: 10–15 µm
  • Ink: 1–2 µm
  • Clear coat: 10–12 µm

Single or Multi-Pass Coating: Depending on your line configuration, the process can be single-pass or multi-pass. Some setups support wet-on-wet application of the ink and topcoat to improve line efficiency.

Material Compatibility: Pattern coating can be applied to various substrates including galvanized steel, aluminum, and pre-treated coils — with full flexibility in base colors and finishes.
