Bronx designs Colour Coating Lines tailored to your production needs, from compact 10,000 TPA lines to high-speed, high-capacity systems. Our lines can apply either a three-coat high-quality system or a cost-effective two-coat system.
A typical Colour Coating Line includes a series of integrated equipment designed to clean, treat, coat, and cure metal strip efficiently. The process begins at the entry section where coils are loaded and joined. To maintain continuous operation, the line is equipped with strip accumulators, which store a reserve of moving strip during coil changes and process transitions. After entry, the strip passes through cleaning and chemical pre-treatment units to prepare the surface. Primer and finish coatings are then precisely applied using specialised coaters, followed by curing in gas-fired or electric infrared ovens. Finally, the strip is cooled, inspected, and recoiled at the exit section, ready for downstream use.

The coater is crucial in a colour coating line, ensuring precise paint application for a high-quality finish. Bronx coaters stand out with added features like servo-controlled coater heads, precision linear guiding, and vertical paint tray adjustment. They also offer adjustable eccentric offsets for light gauge materials, easy off-line cleaning, and quick colour change capabilities, making them the ideal choice for efficient, high-performance coating processes.
Curing is available via Catenary Convection Gas Ovens designed and engineered in house by Bronx Thermal Division or Electric Infrared Ovens to meet your efficiency and quality goals.
