Tata Coating Line Upgrade Turkey: A Bronx Engineered Solution

A bit of background…

After months of planning and preparation, Tata Colors, based in Turkey,  is now in full-scale production, supplying new products directly to the domestic appliance market sector.

Problem

Bronx were awarded the contract to strip out key equipment from the line formerly housed in Tafarnaubach, South Wales, carrying out extensive refurbishment.

Atop of the refurbishment, Bronx was enlisted to design- in new enhanced features, project manage and re-configure the existing process line necessary for the future application, in appliance goods.

Solution

This involved installation of a Chrome Free Chemical Coater and Drying Oven, Prime and Finish Paint Coating Machines, Laminator and Cooling System, extensive mezzanine structure to house some of the new equipment as well as a new electrical control system.

Result

In all,  14 trucks were shipped to Turkey, with the work commencing on the 24th April. Production was back at capacity on the 2nd June, which was a huge undertaking. However without the successful collaboration with Tata staff and a local installation company, this quick turnaround would not have been possible.

Tata Turkey has expanded their current product portfolio to include supplying the domestic appliance market sector quality goods.
